Aspects which you may not have given a great deal of though too so far.

Purpose
(What are we looking to achieve on this page and why?)
Document what kind of values from a Companies point of view Aardelia will stand for. So what are our core values, standards etc that we should look to uphold to maintain the integrity of Aardelia? In a way these values and standards are part of the wider company brand and it’s the sort of comfort that customers will expect to receive when they put trust in purchasing our products and any material/product information that we may put out in the public domain.
Examples - Aardelia Core Values
(Include similar examples and case studies where relevant)
Core Values:
The main focus is to try and maintain the Cradle to Cradle approach to product design. In summary, through thoughtful material and design choices to have zero impact on the environment, but ideally a positive one. Now that is a very simple view, but in reality and if we are really serious and passionate about it then we need to consider not only the production, lifespan, use of the finished product but also what happens to it when the product is no longer required or fails.
Ultimately we need to consider the business/products journey. This should also take into consideration all aspects of the operation from IT infrastructure, Cloud services, material source and it’s human input, Fair Trade & Ethics, who we use for fabrication, transportation etc. This could be way beyond on our initial control but for any decision this ethos should always be a big consideration. These overall points can be summarised below:
Sustainability: Every decision we make prioritizes the health of the planet. From sourcing materials to production processes, we minimize waste and ensure full recyclability.
Quality Over Quantity: We believe in fewer, better products. Our focus is on long-lasting items that offer enduring value, reducing the need for replacement and unnecessary consumption.
Timeless Design: Our products are designed to be both beautiful and functional, with a minimalistic approach that stands the test of time.
Craftsmanship & Integrity: We are committed to superior craftsmanship, ensuring that every item is made with care and precision.
Customer Connection: We create products that not only fulfil a need but enhance the everyday experiences of our customers, making daily routines more enjoyable and mindful.
Ethical Responsibility: We maintain transparency in our sourcing, production, and labour practices, ensuring fair treatment and ethical standards at every level.

Although it seems daunting and perhaps unnecessary in the early stages of a business project. It does get you to focus your plan.
I had to prepare a Business Plan as part of applying for a Business Bank Account with Starling Bank
Aardelia does have a business plan which was succesfull in the bank account application - available if needed
Summary in 3 Points:

Conclusions
Drafting a Business plan will take quite a few hours to put together and longer to sketch out your business thoughts in the short and long term, barriers that may be in your way, how, why and what your business will do, funding, marketing and probably competitors.
But even sketching through the ideas based on the section headings will provide an insight of to the areas you'll probably want to research further.
It will be requirement at some point - it may even be a requirement to open a Business Bank Account as it was Aardelia with Starling Bank.

Example - ChatGPT Executive Summary
Aardelia is a sustainable lifestyle brand dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed, high-quality daily-use products with an uncompromising commitment to sustainability. Guided by a cradle-to-cradle ethos, our products are designed not only to last a lifetime but to be responsibly repurposed, recycled, or biodegraded at the end of their use.
Our material choices prioritize renewability, recyclability, and environmental impact. Hemp—a regenerative crop with minimal environmental footprint—plays a key role in our product line, alongside materials like bamboo, glass, stainless steel, aluminum, and ceramics. We seek out materials that can be recycled indefinitely without degradation or naturally return to the earth without harm. Our eco-friendly packaging and labeling further reinforce our commitment to a sustainable product lifecycle.
Market & Opportunity
With the increasing global demand for sustainable alternatives, consumers are actively seeking products that align with their environmental values without sacrificing style, functionality, or affordability. Aardelia fills this gap by offering smart, tactile, and practical alternatives to everyday essentials—designed with both longevity and end-of-life sustainability in mind.
Product Focus & Initial Launch
Our first collection will feature hemp-based shopping and tote bags—durable, reusable, and aesthetically refined to appeal to eco-conscious consumers. Future expansion will include:
Kitchen essentials (cutting boards, utensils, pots, and pans).
Home accessories (sink tidies, pinch pots, furniture, and potentially BBQs).
Eco-conscious lifestyle products (laptop cases, messenger bags, and other sustainable carry goods).
Business Model & Growth Strategy
Aardelia will operate as an eCommerce business, leveraging a Squarespace-powered website, alongside social media marketing, digital advertising, and marketplace integrations (Etsy, potentially Amazon and specialist platforms for handmade/sustainable goods) to maximize reach.
We will initially launch as a sole trader business, with plans for trademarking "Aardelia" as the brand gains traction. Initial production will be UK-based, ensuring quality control and local sustainability. As we scale, we will explore international markets while maintaining our commitment to ethical production and material sourcing.
Financial Outlook
The business is currently self-funded, with early profits from our hemp bag sales intended to support product expansion. We anticipate strong consumer demand for high-end sustainable goods and expect a steady growth trajectory as we refine our offerings based on customer feedback.
Our Vision for the Future
Aardelia is more than just a product brand—it’s a movement toward a healthier planet and more sustainable daily living. Every design decision, from materials to packaging, reflects our goal of making sustainability accessible and practical. Through a combination of innovative design, responsible sourcing, and direct customer engagement, we aim to redefine eco-friendly living—one product at a time.
