Aardelia website guide

General

Navigating the website should hopefully be quite straightforward. There is a reasonable amount of information and pages.

You can always use the Main Navigation and to get back to the Home Page click on the logo and name.

The Main Navigation does not hold all pages, for example, the food pages.

Most on page navigation will be available either via text highlighted in accent Orange colour or via a Button.

All pages will include links in the final section to pages which may be relevant or to go back to the top of the page.

Aardelia: Simple systems. Thoughtful design. Clear pathways.

What this site is for

  • Purpose: To help people living with a health diagnosis manage daily life through practical, beautifully designed digital tools — starting with our Health Management Journal and expanding into curated nutrition, lifestyle and sustainability resources.

  • Promise: Fewer friction points, smarter organisation, and tools that adapt to your life. We design for usability, clarity and longevity.

How to use this website — a concise guide

  1. Start at the Home page

    • Snapshot of our mission, featured tools and latest resources.

    • Quick links to the Health Management Journal, Food resources and Core Values. Use this page to orientate yourself and choose your entry point.

  2. Explore by pathway

    • Health Management Journal (primary tool): Overview, what’s included, sample pages and purchase/download options. Each page explains how the templates support daily tracking, reflection and planning.

    • Food & Nutrition: Curated UK nutrition data, meal tracking suggestions and practical food pages. From any food article you can return to the main FOOD page via the persistent “Back to FOOD” link in the page footer.

    • Sustainability & Design: Our approach to responsible product design, including principles like Cradle to Cradle and practical tips for a healthy sustainable life.

    • Blog & Guides: Short, practical reads that extend the Journal — techniques, evidence summaries and user stories.

  3. Navigate with clear signposts

    • Internal text links: Within paragraphs you’ll find contextual links to related topics (for example Nutrition Basics or Cradle to Cradle). These follow the Zettelkasten-inspired approach: small, meaningful links that create a web of insight.

    • Buttons and Blocks: Action buttons live in blocks such as Accordion Blocks for quick access to downloads, examples or next steps.

    • Footer: Legal links (T&Cs, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer) and persistent navigation live here so you can always find them.

  4. Use systems we design for you

    • Templates and blocks: The Journal and associated templates are modular. Use the daily, weekly and reflection blocks to build a routine that fits you.

    • Simple workflows: Each product page shows a recommended workflow — how to start, what to record and how to review progress. These are intentionally concise so the systems slot into your life easily.

  5. Learn as you go

    • Layered content: Short summaries front-load the key point, with deeper sections and linked topics available if you want to explore (Zettelkasten-style links help you follow your curiosity).

    • Practical examples: We include exemplar entries, nutrition checks and sample reflection prompts to make adoption straightforward.

Design and ethos in practice

  • Simple systems: Every page is designed to remove clutter and friction. The layout prioritises the actions you’ll take — read, download, apply.

  • Thoughtful design: Typography, spacing and block structure are chosen to help focus, reduce cognitive load and support regular use.

  • Evidence-led and humane: Content is curated with care, using relevant UK data where appropriate, and written for real lives, not ideal ones.

Final site-wide interaction rule (all pages)

  • Each page includes an action in the final section: a “Back to TOP” control or a context-related jump (for example, food pages will include “Back to FOOD”). This ensures users never get lost and always have a clear next step.

How this helps you

  • Clarity: A purposeful structure that helps visitors find what they need quickly.

  • Continuity: Zettelkasten-inspired internal linking builds an interconnected knowledge base that grows with you.

  • Practicality: Tools and templates designed to be used daily — small systems that add up to better management and wellbeing.

If you’d like, I can convert this guide into a homepage section, an on-site help page, or a compact site map for the footer. Which would be most useful for your next step?
